With the increasing prevalence of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), concerns have been raised over the management of fires emanating from lithium-ion battery packs. Discussions have been held on prohibiting the carriage of BEV, segregation on-board and requiring additional fire-fighting capabilities.
Join us on April 5th 2023, between 14h00 and 15h30 (CET) and have the chance to discuss the efficacy of conventional sea-water drencher systems and how to best intervene manually to contain a BEV-fire!
The webinar will be moderated by Johan Roos, Interferry with interventions by Martin Carlsson, Stena Line, Lena Brandt, DFDS, Magnus Arvidson, RISE Fire Research AS and Jaime Bleye Vicario of Centro Jovellanos.
The event will also include a live demonstration of different extinguishment techniques at the Centro Jovellanos!

Con la creciente prevalencia de los vehículos eléctricos a batería (BEV), se han planteado preocupaciones sobre la gestión de los incendios que emanan de los paquetes de baterías de iones de litio. Se han mantenido debates sobre la prohibición del transporte de BEV, la segregación a bordo y la exigencia de capacidades adicionales de extinción de incendios.
