This simulator has been developed by the Jovellanos Centre in collaboration with Signal Software and has been designed to provide practical training to the personnel working in Vessel Traffic Services control centres, known as VTS centres.

• The simulator can be easily transported to any VTS centre to provide practical training based on real-life situations. With these sessions, VTS personnel can revalidate their certificates.
• In addition to an instructor, these training sessions can include up to 4 participants.
• The simulator records vessel movements (targets) and radio communications between the vessels and VTS personnel.
• At the end of each session, the recordings are played back to allow each participant to self-assess their performance and share the experience with the rest of the participants. This technique is known as "debriefing" and is considered to be one of the most effective training methods for serving professionals.
