The Spanish Maritime Search and Rescue Agency is intensifying online training

With this in view, the staff of the Jovellanos Centre has increased the training proposals available on its Virtual Campus in line with the Resolution of the Directorate General of the Merchant Marine of 13 April 2020, which authorises the delivery of theoretical knowledge through distance and online learning systems during the state of alarm imposed under Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14 March.

The Jovellanos Centre will be starting a blended learning course on “Fast Rescue Boats” on 5 May for our colleagues in the rescue fleet. The theoretical part will be delivered online, through the Virtual Campus, from 5 to 22 May and the practical training will be delivered face-to-face at the Jovellanos Centre facilities from 14 to 15 October.

 

The STM certificate revalidation process is ongoing in accordance with the IALA V-103/5 Course to enable STM staff to maintain their professional qualifications in line with the needs of a service subject to continuous technological advances and regulatory developments.
