Masters and Chief Mates issued by other countries signatory to the STCW Convention.

The purpose of the course is to facilitate the recognition by the Spanish Maritime Administration of certificates of competency issued by other STCW signatory countries that entitle the holder to work as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on Spanish-flagged civilian ships.

This course is designed for persons who hold certificates or professional qualifications in the merchant navy, such as a captain, second mate, first mate or master, chief engineer, first assistant engineer, second assistant engineer, first or second class radio-electronic officer, or a non-maritime university degree that specifically certifies the qualifications to teach certain modules or courses related to the STCW Convention and Training Code.

Staff from public and private agencies with responsibilities in combating marine pollution, as well as people involved in activating contingency plans in maritime shipping companies and in the oil industry.

Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre operators, Maritime Rescue aircraft crews, masters and officers of the Merchant Marine.

All workers from any sector who need to acquire basic occupational health & safety skills.
