Staff from public and private agencies with responsibilities in combating marine pollution, as well as people involved in activating contingency plans in maritime shipping companies and in the oil industry.

Goals

Acquire the necessary knowledge to establish and predict the drift of oil, the decomposition of its components, and the assessment of its environmental impact, as well as confirming the means available for response.

 

Program

Introduction to OILMAP. Marine pollution.

Interpreting a pollution scenario. Creating an oil spill scenario.

Analysis of a scenario and forecast of a "worst case scenario". Response options.

 

VIRTUAL CAMPUS

OILMAP is part of the Jovellanos Centre’s virtual platform, which can be accessed from any location.

Duration

The course consists of 30 certified hours over a period of 33 days.
