This course has been designed for professionals who, not having received prior training, may find themselves involved in emergencies involving dangerous goods.

Goals

It provides trainees with basic knowledge on emergencies involving dangerous goods, and on the relevant equipment used and its limitations.

Program

Dangerous goods.

Identification.

Hazards.

PPE.

Emergency teams.

Practical training:

Use and maintenance of chemical protective suits (gastight and Splash).

Handling equipment in chemical emergencies.

Intervention in a chemical emergency with spill from a tanker truck.

Implementation of an organisational model for all operations.

Practical training will take place at the Jovellanos Centre’s training grounds, using the relevant emergency equipment.

Duration

The course consists of 21 hours and it´s delivered over a period of  3 days.
