This course has been designed for captains, officers and graduates in nautical studies who want to embark on a professional career in vessel traffic services. It is also directed at vessel traffic service operators who do not have the C0103-1 certification implemented by the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation (IALA).

VTS operators wishing to qualify as a supervisor. Requirements: Professional seafarers holding a IALA C0103-1 operator's certificate.

Captains and officers of the merchant marine with an interest in manoeuvres involving vessels with azimuthal propulsion. No prerequisites are needed, although experience working on tugboats is advisable.

The course has been designed for holders of a professional Merchant Marine qualification that allows them to enroll as Captain or Chief Engineer, Officer of the Watch or Engineer, Radio Officer, or an academic degree that leads to the said qualifications.

Captains, Pilots 1st and 2nd class of the M.M. and Civil Navy graduates.
