Goals
Correctly apply protocols to act on indoor fires in occupational settings and in homes or garages, as well as in industrial settings such as engine rooms, and identify the flash over phenomenon and its associated risks.
Program
- Safety procedures.
- Fire on the ground floor of a detached house.
- Basement fire. Transformer fire.
- Fire on the upper floor.
- Widespread fire in a multi-storey building.
- Fire in a high-rise building. Use of a fire hose cabinet.
- Extinction by horizontal ventilation with positive pressure.
- Vertical ventilation of the stairwell.
- Garage fire.
- Flash over
- Ventilation from the upper floor to the mechanical room.
- Extinguishing engine sump fires.
Duration
The course consists of 21 certified teaching hours delivered over 3 days.
