Aimed at all personnel who hold the Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats and who have been sailing onboard merchant vessels for the required periods within the last five years.

Requirement:  Hold the Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats.

Goals

Revalidate the Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats in accordance with the Resolution of 21 September 2016 of the Directorate General of the Merchant Navy.

Program

Take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat during and after launching.

Operate the motor of a survival craft.

Use location devices: communications and signalling equipment.

Apply first aid to survivors.

Duration

The course consists of 4,5 teaching hours delivered in 1 day.

Certificate

5 years.
