1 ACCESSIBILITY

The Website of the Jovellanos Maritime Rescue Centre has been designed in such a way that all people can browse its contents without encountering accessibility issues.

The accessibility policy applied by the Jovellanos Maritime Rescue Centre complies with the requirements of Royal Decree 1494/2007, of 12 November, that approves the Regulation on the basic conditions governing the access of people with disabilities to technologies, information society related products and services, and to social media.

2 COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS
The pages of this Website comply with AAA level conformance according to the Standard UNE 139803:2004 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 of the W3C. All Priority 1, Priority 2, and Priority 3 requirements have been checked and corrected by means of a semi-automatic accessibility analysis process using various tools.

3 DISEÑO VISUAL

The visual design has been prepared using CSS. If the browser or browsing device does not support style sheets, the content of the website can still be read thanks to its structural markup.

Therefore, the site can run on a number of devices without extra work and preprocessing.

4 LINKS

Most links with text that does not clearly describe their destination include title attributes with an explanation.

Where possible, links have been written to provide meaning when out of context. Some browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera) may extract the list of links from the current page and enable users to browse them from that list. Taking this into account, the links have not been duplicated and, if they are, it is because they access the same content.

There are no JavaScript pseudo-links. All links can be followed on any browser, even if javascript has been disabled.

Internal links do not open in separate windows.

5 BROWSING AIDS

All the tables have headers with scope attributes that allow screen readers to present the information in an intelligent manner. In addition, when necessary, the tables also feature titles (label elements) and summary attributes to make them easier to understand.
